The University of Michigan’s Ice Hockey Department commissioned me to design the perfect app for the college hockey fan. I was partnered with the College of Computer Science’s MSuite Development team to create this app from the ground up. I was responsible for the visual design and I worked closely with the MSuite team while it was built. We went through several design phases and testing to develop the perfect user experience for the college hockey app.
The Wolverine Hockey App would provide everything a fan would want to follow their Michigan Hockey Team whether they were on the go or down at the rink. It featured live score updates, Wolverine news feed, team roster’s, player profiles, team stats, league standings and team history. For those fan’s down at Yost Arena watching the game there are game specific trivia and polls that they can participate in to win prizes.
The Wolverine Hockey App was meant to launch with the 2011-2012 college hockey season.
